Block Leagues Privacy Policy

Last updated: DATE AT LAUNCH

This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Block Leagues ("the game") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Block Leagues is made by Max One Studios ("we", "us"), based in British Columbia, Canada.

If you have a question about privacy, contact us at support@maxonestudios.com.

The short version

1. Information saved on your device

The game saves the following on your phone so it remembers you between games:

This information stays on your device. We do not receive it unless you take part in the online leagues (see section 2). It is removed when you uninstall the game.

2. Online leagues and leaderboards

Block Leagues has weekly leagues and leaderboards. The league system is shared with our other game, Domino International, so the same player profile can appear in the leagues of both games.

When you take part in the leagues, we store:

Your display name, country flag, picture, scores and league position are visible to other players on leaderboards in Block Leagues and Domino International.

League data is stored by our backend provider, Supabase, on servers that may be outside Canada CONFIRM SUPABASE SERVER REGION.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game is free and shows ads, including banner ads, full-screen ads between games, and optional "watch an ad" rewards such as a rescue when you run out of moves.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud, Google may collect:

Your consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another place where the law requires it, the game shows Google's privacy message before personalized ads are used, so you can agree or decline. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices TO BUILD IN THE GAME.

You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your phone's settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

To learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see Google's page: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

4. Information we do not collect

The game does not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos from your gallery, microphone or camera, or precise GPS location. There are no in-app purchases, so we do not collect any payment information.

If you email us, we will receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use it only to reply to you.

5. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

7. Children

Block Leagues is a casual puzzle game for a general audience. DECISION FOR MAX: see the "Max to confirm" list. Pick one of the two options below and delete the other.

Option A, general audience 13+: The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information through the leagues, contact us and we will delete it.

Option B, all ages: When the game starts, we ask the player's age in a neutral way. If a player is under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where they live), the game shows only non-personalized, family-safe ads, does not request the advertising ID for personalization, and does not let them join the online leagues with a public display name. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to delete their child's information.

8. How long we keep information

9. Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your league account and data at any time:

We delete your player account, display name, picture, scores and league history within 30 days. Because the leagues are shared, this removes your profile from Domino International too. Data saved only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the game.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA, the EU and UK GDPR, and California and other US state privacy laws), you may have the right to:

To make a request, email support@maxonestudios.com. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local privacy authority. In Canada, that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

11. Security

League data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and only the game's server can write scores. Phones can only read the leaderboards. Access to our systems is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are important, we will also let you know in the game.
